Interior Designer Robert Kolenik explains: “Overall, there is a chronic shortage of storage space. When working on residential dwellings, my team and I have been confronted time and time again with ‘the cupboard problem’.”

“Our Kabinet cupboard range has been designed on the basis of this experience. When we integrate cupboards, we count the number of jackets, trousers, shoes… everything. And we base the cupboard configuration on this, plus a certain amount of overcapacity for new items. This is design for real life, so it has to fit.”

Kabinet, finished in dark or bleached walnut, is configured from 25 presets, two heights, widths and depths which can be mixed and matched. The cupboard’s lightly reflective bronze glass doors offer a subtle glimpse into the wardrobe. Colours inside the cupboard are toned down, creating a chic overall effect.

Just like other Kolenik collections, Kabinet carries the Eco Chic Awareness Label. The modular cupboard system is sustainably produced. Kolenik is renowned for this new form of luxury. It is essential that anyone designing today should think of the future.

 The starting point for Kabinet is designing for real life. By this, we mean that our Closet Collection is comfortable to use. The hanging sections incorporate a clothes lift so that you can take out your favourite jacket at eye level. After use, the clothes lift shifts noiselessly back to the upper hanging section, thus enabling the upper portion of the cupboard to be put to optimal use.
