Interior designer Robert Kolenik explains: “Everywhere there is a chronic shortage of storage space. When working on residential dwellings, my team and I were always faced with the same issue: the ‘cupboard problem’.”

“The design of our cupboard range Kabinet was based on this experience. When we integrate cupboards, we count the number of jackets, trousers, shoes… everything. From this starting point we design a cupboard. Plus built-in overcapacity for new items, of course. Design for real life has to fit.”

It is no surprise that Kabinet has been described as the perfect combination of haute couture and prêt-à-porter. With luxurious features such as the Solar Onyx insert cupboard, fashioned from recycled solar panel glass, in which to display jewellery or watches. And exclusive inlays in chrome-free suede from organic Dutch cows. Using sustainable, high-end materials, Kolenik shapes new luxury in his unique, inimitable way. The end result? Characterful, iconic designs that are embraced all over the globe.
